Rashida Jones came by Seth Meyers’ place to talk about her new series Sunny and to serve up some effortless eleganza.
We’d say it takes some serious confidence to stroll out onto a talk show set in white caftan, if only because it tends to give off such a whiff of “I give up.” This could go “hospital patient” very easily, but the style really looks good on her. Our only true issue is with the shoes, first for being so out of style. Are we really doing those clodhopper Mary Janes again? But also because they’re just so wrong with that dress.
ABOUT THE SERIES:
Sunny stars Rashida Jones as Suzie, an American woman living in Kyoto, Japan, whose life is upended when her husband and son disappear in a mysterious plane crash. As “consolation” she’s given Sunny, one of a new class of domestic robots made by her husband’s electronics company. Though at first, Suzie resents Sunny’s attempts to fill the void in her life, gradually they develop an unexpected friendship. Together they uncover the dark truth of what really happened to Suzie’s family and become dangerously enmeshed in a world Suzie never knew existed.
