She’s back in pales and neutrals, dammit. Oh, well. The Watchers star Dakota Fanning hit the promo trail in New York serving up a veritable parade of underwhelming fashion. And now, the judging portion of our program

To be fair, this is a semi-cute look and the style really suits her. We like the shades, the outfit, and the shoes, but we wish the last two were in practically any other color. That pale yellow looks better on her than white (see below), but it’s still not the best choice for her. If she wants to wear yellows, they should be on the butter-to-marigold continuum.

This is a lovely dress with some pretty and subtle details. You might have to trust us on that description if the camera flash blew out your retinas and you can’t see clearly. Imagine this in red.

This is a great look and you won’t hear us complaining about it. Sure, we’d rather see her in colors, but any contrast at all is a good thing for her. The dress is exceedingly simple, but the style is classic and it’s well accessorized.
