We’re recording our podcast at the moment, so we’re throwing this one out to y’all. Awkwafina has a red carpet style that tends to lean toward the clowny and exuberant, which suits her personality, but doesn’t always look chic to us. For the Disney+/Hulu celebration, she opted for a look that stopped us in our tracks.

It surprises us to say this, but the design is kind of appealingly goofy, with an unexpected ethereality to it. It feels high-fashion and quirky, which is exactly the intersection where her style sweet spot is located. The color is pretty, but the heart motif sometimes comes off a little craftsy, like a middle school art project. Then again, that sort of naive aesthetic works well for her. We don’t love this, but we can’t bring ourselves to hate it either. That’s why your here. Our only real critique is that it works so much better as a crop top and if she didn’t want to go that route, she’d have been better off picking another outfit. What do you think?
