Josh O’Connor, Zendaya and Mike Faist finally get their shit together for the Challengers London premiere.

Not that anyone could classify this highly buzzed tour as a failure, but we haven’t always loved the way each of their approaches to style (Josh: statements, Zendaya: drag/cosplay, Mike: classic minimalism) have played out together on the red carpet. The choices haven’t always worked for us, although there is something to be said about introducing visual tension to a red carpet tour, especially for a film like this one. On the other hand, the unity of the mostly black-and-white approach here may have a lot to do with why it’s working for us.

We generally loathe fashion with messages printed on it for the red carpet, with some occasional exceptions. This one works for us. The suit is basic, but the shirt is appealingly focus-pulling. Love the shoes, hate the grooming.

It’s so literal as to inspire eyerolls in us if it weren’t for the fact that she looks amazing in it. We still don’t love hairbows on grownups, but we can’t deny that it finishes off the look perfectly. It’s very good drag. Back when she was dressing up in/like tennis balls, we said we’d have liked her theme approach to be more centered around classic tenniswear and we’d like to think this look proves our point. This is the best she’s looked on this tour.

He looks great in classic formalwear but we wish the grooming matched the style. A shave, a little product in the hair and some moisturizer is all we’re asking for here.
