For the Oscars this year, Jennifer Lawrence made a couple of WTF choices. Not necessarily style disasters, mind you, just a couple of head-scratchers.

At first, we were happy to see this because you rarely catch anyone in a polka dot – or any other prints – at the Oscars. It struck us as a smart choice that helped her stand out. But the more we looked at her ensemble the more convinced we became that it really didn’t feel like an Oscar dress at all. It’s too… demure, too classically chic. Aside from the length, it comes off way more like a day dress; something you’d wear to an Oscars luncheon rather than the main event. She looks pretty, though.

Meh. We love when stars break out the vintage looks, but this one just looks dated and stale to us. She could use more support and a lining, but it still wouldn’t make this frock feel any fresher to us. In related news, white is not her color. She should know that by now.
