We know, from an intellectual standpoint, that we cannot take any credit whatsoever for how Robert Downey, Jr. chose to dress for the night of his big Oscar win. We feel like taking a victory lap. After years – literally a decade or more – of holding him up as the prime retort whenever someone claimed we went too easy on the male stars, it is genuinely gratifying to see RDJ achieve style perfection. The fit is flawless. The length is precise and exact. The heels are a thing of beauty. And the brooch is stunning. He has never looked this great.
