Two things happened last night that we were really hoping to happen. The first is that Da’Vine Joy Randolph picked up a well-deserved Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in The Holdovers. The second is that Da’Vine Joy Randolph showed up looking like a high-ranking prestige movie star.
As we noted when she kicked off this campaign, the world of high fashion doesn’t tend to rush to dress stars like her, but we’re happy that the folks at LV filled that vacuum. When she showed up looking impeccable at that LV dinner, we hoped that meant a collaboration. This is very much in line with her preferences, a column skirt with one exuberantly large element up top. The color looks great on her. We don’t think the train was needed and there’s a slightly too obvious shapewear line, but it’s a fantastic look nonetheless.
