The Color Purple star Danielle Brooks took a smart post-Oscars approach to her style for the NAACP Image Awards.
She dialed everything way back. After months of high-glam prestige actress campaigning looks, this feels like a cool, confident flex on her part. Her makeup is flawless and we love the use of gold, both in the bracelets and in the hair accessories. At first we weren’t too keen on that boob harness element, but it almost certainly provides her with more support and because it’s all rendered in a matte black, it doesn’t come off awkward or fussy.
