We’ve been pretty whiny about The Bear star Ayo Edebiri’s style throughout the latest round of awards shows. She has a low-key and restrained sense of style that feels very modern and of-the-moment, but she often chooses outfits that don’t actually play well with that approach. For the SAG Awards, we think she got the balance right, but we’re not sure y’all are gonna like how things played out.

The pros: It’s got the kind of drama you want for an awards season gown, but it’s also got a low-key vibe that wouldn’t work with a lot of jewelry or heavy makeup.

The cons: It looks like she’s wrapped in bedsheets and that skirt is entirely too tricky for its own good.
