While all of the prestige stars were sipping Champagne or whatever at the BAFTAs, all of the other stars were at the People’s Choice Awards! Yes! That was shade! Very good. Now that we’ve set the tone, come judge with us.
Billie Eilish in Ambush
This is awkwardly cute and totally on brand, but the kicks are awful.
Coi Leray in Alexandre Vauthier Couture
Being a little tacky at the People’s Choice Awards is not only not a bad thing, it’s a somewhat expected thing. Having said that, that dress looks like she bought it at Dollar Tree. The jacket’s fab, though.
Garcelle Beauvais in Area
The styling is out of control here. The dress is interesting. The necklace and gloves have to go. The silver pumps aren’t bad, but that’s just about the worst hem length to pair with thick ankle straps.
Glen Powell in Brioni
We feel like this is the only look we’ve ever seen him wear.
Heidi Klum in Kamilla Purshie
Turtleneck choker aside, we really like this from the waist up. We tend to hate all minis with trains, but we think this one might actually work if it were all black.
Ice Spice in Dolce & Gabbana
Again, nothing wrong with working a tacky look on the teal carpet, but these items shouldn’t be within ten feet of each other, let alone on the same body.
Jeremy Renner
In all sincerity, it’s great to see him out and about. The suit’s fine, but we’re not in love with the shirt.
Kathryn Hahn in Ronald van der Kemp Couture
We like the sleek, vaguely retro drama of this, but when she was onstage, it looked a lot sloppier as she moved around. It’s strictly for posing. Having said that, we hate the white trim on the slit.
Kylie Minogue in Raisa Vanessa
It’s giving 2003, and honestly, if Kylie Minogue can’t work the hottest looks of 2003, then who can?
Laverne Cox in Thierry Mugler
It’s dramatic and she’s working the hell out of it. The styling is gorgeous, but that skirt is the definition of unresolved.
Lenny Kravitz
Sure. Okay, Lenny.
Lucy Hale in Dior
Meh. Why wear Dior if you’re going to pick the most generic design possible?
Rachel Zegler in Dior Couture
We don’t care that the bodice is sheer, but the tightness of that bust just doesn’t look great.
Scott Evans
We’re not opposed to the boots, but the steel toe looks weird with the suit, which is pretty nice.
Simu Liu
HATE the matching shoes and shirt.
Sydney Sweeney in Mônot
This exact dress is a rite of passage for any rising blonde ingenue. It’s generic, but she sure fills it out nicely.
Tom Hiddleston in Ralph Lauren
It’s fine. The shirt/tie combo could’ve been more interesting.
Xochitl Gomez in Gucci
That dress looks like an over-decorated powder room. We are pulling the cord on the fabric flower trend bus and getting off.
