Hey. You wanna see a couple of badasses? True Detective co-stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis hit the LA and Mexico City premiere red carpets and they did not come quietly or demurely.

Jodie is a red carpet pro of long standing and she knows how to present herself in a professional, appealing, and true-to-herself way that gets the job done. Having said that, Kali is coming on so hard that her much more famous co-star is doing something she almost never has over her six-decade career: fading into the background.

We give her credit for choosing an interesting shape, but the color does less than nothing for her and those pants are kind of sad-looking.

Kali’s whole look is fantastic, but we’ve gotta say, it’s the boots, the necklace and the braids that that really make it. They’re why she can get away with wearing such relatively generic garments.

While the outfit isn’t really anything to write home about, continuing a trend of some unfortunately generic choices on her part, The K Stew hair and makeup really elevate the look. She shouldn’t be afraid of going hard. She can still pull it off.

The bralette feels like an afterthought and we’re not in love with the necklace, but this is overall fabulous on her. Love the pants and the coat. Her makeup works incredibly well with her piercings. It all feels very modern and insanely badass.
