We feel like we need to write something like “Prepare yourself for the slay to come,” but is that really necessary? You’ve read the post title, you’ve seen the thumbnail. Slaying is a given at this point.

And thus did the slay occur. We absolutely love this deconstructed take on a 19th century hoop skirt gown. The styling is, as always with her, a little bit much but we don’t actually mind the pounds of diamonds she’s wearing. They work well with the style of the dress and the darkness of the textile. As to that latter point, our only quibble here is that we’re not in love with the textiles. We can understand wanting to avoid anything too conventional, but we can’t help thinking how much a little color or print would make this sing.
