It’s the Chanel-hosted The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Women’s Luncheon and wouldn’t you know it? A whole bunch of women wearing Chanel showed up for it. Who could have figured? We have Chanel Muse Number One Kristen Stewart her own spotlight post, but all of these ladies did their best to work that tweed to perfection.
America Ferrera
The cut and proportions here are devilish and unforgiving. She’d have been better off with a longer jacket, but our honest recommendation is to ritually burn those pants.
Annette Bening
This is both sharp and laid back in a way that looks comfy and confident.
Ashley Park
It’s giving Charlotte York and it looks very cute on her.
Greta Lee
Love her, but this looks like one very confused design. The top half is interesting, the bottom half is terrible, and those belts look cheap.
H.E.R.
Cute, but the boots are awful with it.
Lily-Rose Depp
About as classic as a Chanel look can get. It’s not fresh, but she looks great.
Lupita Nyong’o
Very much not feeling the tweed shorts. Not even you can make them fabulous, Lupita.
Maude Apatow
Feeling the tweed rompers even less. This is so awkward looking.
Molly Gordon
Cute. A lot of these pieces appear to be a little tight in the bust.
Riley Keough
Yuck. No, girl. Too much fuss and the textile is kind of ugly. Those sleeves are horrible.
Sadie Sink
That is the freshest, most youthful take on a Chanel look we’ve seen in a while. Girl’s got a knack.
