Those adorable sodomites from Showtime’s Fellow Travelers finally got a chance to hit a red carpet together. We hope it’s the first in a whole cycle of appearances for Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey; not just because we’re always happy to look at pictures of them, but also because not enough people are talking about this fine show, which we are currently recapping.

As we noted earlier, we’re enjoying the return of dressy-casual menswear looks, but we jeep running into these scrolldown disappointments. We spent the first ten years of our red carpet bitchery careers complaining about puddling pants hems and now… well, that’s how fashion works. Anyway, we’re going to judge lightly, because we think a lot of the promo appearances in the last 48 hours or so were rushed into existence, which may explain why they both look so sweaty. Maybe they had to get there early and set up.

Also, they’re both very autumnal in their choices, which makes them feel coordinated, even as they’re both dressed in completely different styles. We don’t love Jonathan’s pant situation, but everything else he’s wearing is really cute. Bomer is just serving up his usual blue steel. He doesn’t rest on pretty, but he does use it well.
