All of the buzziest dudes at the Gotham Awards chose to turn it out for the red carpet. Well, okay, maybe not all of them, but for a collection of male actors, this is a fairly impressive round of style efforts.
Andrew Scott in Prada
Love the color of that suit, but we’re not convinced the color of the shirt coordinates well with it. We’re in a tieless era right now, but this sure would have been improved with one.
Boyd Holbrook
No complaints.
Bradley Cooper
Love a pale blue dress shirt with a black suit. He looks impeccable. The vest is a great way to work a tieless look without the risk of going sloppy.
Charles Melton in Prada
Look, we get it. If you’ve got those cheekbones and that jawline and everyone’s talking about your latest performance, who needs to try hard? Still, just think what a little effort would do for this guy.
Colman Domingo in Ralph Lauren
Sir, you had us until the lemonpants. You look amazing, but we can’t sign off on those.
Jeffrey Wright
Honestly, the man looks like he was designed to wear a turtleneck, so we won’t be whiny about it. We do think the suit’s a little snug, though.
Morgan Spector
Pretty much proving the point that he could make a paper bag look hot.
Steven Yeun
If you’re wearing a colorful suit and opting to forego the tie, we think a colored or patterned shirt is the way to go. Otherwise, you just look like you lost your tie after the 4th drink.
Willem Dafoe
It’s fine. He was never going to do something fussy. While the suit’s a little too gray for us, the red tee was a nice touch.
