Designer Tory Burch hosted a dinner for “women thought leaders, entrepreneurs and creators,” which is all well and good, but we’re here to see what The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki wore to the event. We’re shallow that way.
It’s a cute enough dress, but that sort of ivory-yellow lining fabric is pretty dingy-looking and we hate the way it looks at the hem. We can’t say we’re loving the recent trend of pairing light-colored or lightweight little frocks with things like heavy black tights or knee-high black boots. It just renders the whole look so bottom-heavy. It also looks really odd to us when paired with something sleeveless like this. The top half of the look says spring or summer and the bottom half looks like you’re ready to trudge through the snow.
