Darlings, we’re a bit torn on this one. On the one hand, we think Gemma Chan is a fashion goddess who can make anything look chic just by putting it on. On the other hand, we hate neutrals on the red carpet and as two pink-blooded homosexual males, we can’t stand slip dresses.

You can see our dilemma, then. The thing is, we want to hate this, but we can’t really find it in ourselves to do so. First, as slip dresses go, this one has a pretty nice design that ensures you won’t mistake it for an actual slip, which tends to be our number one complaint about slip dresses. Sure, we’d have liked to have seen it in a color that provided a little contrast, but this blushy sort of beige looks pretty good on her, even if it isn’t helped by a nearly all-white backdrop. We’re not putting this one up to a vote, only because we have a slightly more discussable look in mind for that later today. We’ll just say that we tried to stick to our guns and dislike this, but the power of the Chan won out once again. She really can make anything look better than it is.
