We had to give the spotlight treatment to Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie and Maya Hawke, but it shouldn’t be surprising that the rest of the cast came out to work some offbeat looks at the Asteroid City premiere. Well. Some of them, anyway. The others were kind of boring.
Adrien Brody
Case in point. Nothing wrong with this whole getup as a summer suit option, but it’s kind of boring for the red carpet.
Bryan Cranston in Paul Smith
This is kind of fun, although we could just be reacting to that epic mustache. We aren’t sure we agree with the matchy shoe choice, however. And that t-shirt looks a little stretched out.
Hope Davis
Well, choices were definitely made here. The shoes are extremely weird, let’s get that out of the way first. The scarf, suit, and bag all have possibilities, but they look really weird together.
Jason Schwartzman and Wes Anderson
It’s all fine but it’s pretty dull.
Jeff Goldblum in Prada
We love everything about this except whatever that is between the coat and the dress shirt.
Jeffrey Wright
Perfectly fine but too tight.
Rupert Friend
Certain browns just come off poo-colored on the red carpet, this being a prime example. We hate that it’s all one color. We don’t love the wide cut of the pants, but they’d be much better with two inches hacked off the hem.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson
Mom and Dad, keeping it simple and profesh.
Tony Revolori
Love this whole look.
