Harrison Ford was too grumpy to come (he Zoomed in), so Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny co-stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelson got up onstage at Star Wars Celebration to unveil the latest trailer for the film, which is not set in the Star Wars universe at all, although we wouldn’t be surprised if they try to shove a Darth Vader mask or light saber in there somewhere. Anyway, they served looks. Sort of.

We wouldn’t exactly call his fashion discussable, but we figure the Mads girlies will kill us (and eat us) if we don’t include him. It’s fine. He looks very presentable. The jacket’s nice. We’d have loved just one color anywhere. She’s so good at wearing these breezy-chic, low-key glam sorts of looks. The suit and shoes are basic to the point of generic, but the top is chic and we love that she wore the jacket two ways; practically and sensibly for the stage, but totally fashion-diva for the red carpet. That’s style.

Meh. We’re big Indy fans and we can admit that this doesn’t look like it’ll tarnish anyone’s reputation, but we don’t know… there’s something a little sad and silly about an 80-year-old man doing all of these stunts that would absolutely incapacitate him in the real world. We realize that Indy was pulling inhuman stunts 40 years ago and that suspension of disbelief is built into the character, but we counted about a half dozen instances in that trailer that should’ve resulted in a broken hip. At least when Patrick Stewart returns to his iconic characters, he plays them as the elderly men they are.
