Because sometimes, a couple of podcasting bitches just need to do the expected thing – not that anyone needed to twist our arms. We’re talking about celebrity superstar stylist Law Roach’s sudden announcement that he’s retiring from the red carpet game. That would have been enough of a reason for us to flip on our mics and start spewing into them, but then he went and give this occasionally scorching (in a mostly not naming names sort of way) interview with Lindsey Peoples at The Cut. Scalding hot tea was served and we each read the interview while nodding our heads and saying “Yep” over and over again. We’ll tell you why he’s right to shine a light on how structured, moneyed, hierarchical and white the world of high-ticket celebrity styling can be and we’ll explain all the ways we either saw or experienced much of what he’s talking about regarding stylists and the world of fashion shows.
Juicy stuff! Which is why we just had to get this one out early for y’all! PLUS: Tom spends five minutes completely NERDING OUT on season 3 of Star Trek: Picard and why any disaffected fans should return to it now.
