It’s our first Cathy Cornwall usage, darlings! We were a little sad when we had to retire “Cathy Cambridge” after a decade of using it, but when a duchess graduates to princess, bitchy bloggers such as we need to recognize. Princess Cathy doesn’t quite have the same alliterative ring to it, but we’re getting used to it. But Cathy Cornwall has been waiting in the wings and today, she finally gave us reason to use it. The newly titled Duke and Duchess of Cornwall visited Cornwall today for the first time since taking the Cornwall title. Cornwall. Let’s just keep saying it.

The other big royal news of the day is that Bill and Cathy don’t match at all. Let’s be gossipy and pretend that their marriage is in trouble or some such nonsense. It’s no worse than all of those “royal body language experts” constantly deployed to decipher the minute gestures of people trained to only commit minute gestures. Anyway, we digress. The Princess/Duchess is looking pretty stylish today. The sleeves on the coat are a little short on her, which is another somewhat surprising development, since she’s always been known for the impeccable fit of her clothes. The leather elements on the coat are a sharp touch and this is one of the few times she’s managed to do tone-on-tone correctly. Nothing matches, but it all coordinates well. The dress looks great on her. We swear he only has one outfit.
