We were originally going to put another frock up to a vote but that one is so sad and dreary that it almost feels cruel to subject it to public scrutiny. We will, however, be posting it later for your public scrutiny. For now, we figured it would be a more challenging exercise to put Miss Angela’s BAFTAs look up to a vote, for two reasons. The first is that she is beloved and people find it difficult to critically assess her. We’re here to stretch your bitchy skills, darlings. The second reason to put it up to a vote? Well, it’s a LOT:
The question put to you: Is it too much? Let’s break this down. First, we’re not crazy about lavender, but it does look pretty great on her. We’re also not crazy about super-matchy outfits, but in this case, we think it might have been the smart way to go. A design like this is going to need some cohesive, unifying styling and we think the bag (which is super cute) and the shoes work with it. The basic shape and style of the dress look great on her, but obviously we’re dancing around the one glaring element here. Either those sleeves work for you or they don’t. There’s probably no debating or convincing on the matter. Either they make the look or they break the look. Personally, we think they look like those dishwashing sleeves they sell in Chinatown dollar stores, but maybe that’s a bit too specific a reference. LOVE the earrings. Anyway, let’s hear it, kittens:
