Poker Face, the upcoming old-school mystery-of-the-week series from Glass Onion director Rian Johnson and star Natasha Lyonne, had its star-studded premiere in LA last night. Their friends, collaborators, and guest stars came out to celebrate in some surprisingly over-the-top looks.

It seems like she may have brushed up against something she shouldn’t have, but the outfit’s low-key cute in that “here to support my friend and collaborator” kind of way.

While we might quibble with the idea of a corduroy suit on the red carpet, we can’t deny that this is a really original and eye-catching choice. Neither the shirt nor the footwear choice are doing much for it, though.

Everything here is really great – color, shape, makeup, hair, accessories – but we think the hem should be lower.

With her, it’s always too much. We kinda love the bangles and the shoes. The rest of the outfit kinda pulls focus from them.

This is pretty goofy. We don’t love the trim on the hem, but we’re surprised to admit we might like it more if the coat was cut like a suit jacket.

It’s giving True Blue Madonna. The shoes are cute, but we don’t think the style really works with the outfit.

She’s always such a drama queen on the red carpet and we love it. The lady knows how to show off a ring.

We’re generally pro boots-with gowns if the wearer has the attitude for it, but those Barbie cowgirl boots make no kind of sense with that gown.

It’s cute and well-suited to her, but we think the pants tip the whole look over into clown territory.

Her style seems to have entered a really theatrical phase, and by that we mean it’s both flamboyant and somewhat character-based. This is outrageous, but we’re compelled to love it because it’s somehow perfectly suited to her. If the lady wants to go through a drag period in her style evolution, we can only applaud it. The outfit actually could be worn in a somewhat conventional manner, but every single styling choice turned it into an unforgettable head-turner.

On the opposite end of the style scale, here’s Miss Tracee, giving you fashion editor realness. The shoes and bag are a little too conventional for it, but the suit looks great on her.

This looks like an absolute blast.
