Why, Miss Viola. We do believe this is the best frock you’ve worn in a while – and you’ve worn some pretty good frock this past year. The star of The Woman King hit the Golden Globes red carpet in a Jason Wu gown that hit all her style sweet spots: boldly colored, body-con, with the opportunity to show off her arms.
It’s a shame she couldn’t keep the bottom out of those SoCal flood waters, but it’s a testament to how spectacular she looks that you barely notice the drenched hem. The color looks great on her and we really like how the ruching gives it shape and visual interest. Our only quibble is with the length of that one sleeve. We’d have rather seen the design without a sleeve at all or with one long sleeve. Not that it matters, because it’s all about the color, shape, and styling here. The accessories are really well chosen and her hair looks amazing.
