Letitia Wright is here to prove the adage that there are no bad dresses, only dresses on the wrong wearer. Actually, that’s not true at all and it’s not really an adage. We just made the whole thing up. Look, we’ve been chatting about the Golden Globes red carpet for nearly 24 hours now, so you’re going to have to forgive us if we get a little punchy. Our point is this: Kerry Condon wore a version of this dress last weekend and it looked utterly terrible on her. Letitia snagged a more vibrantly colored version and the effect is surprisingly sublime:
Sometimes, it really is about putting the right dress on the right wearer. This looks absolutely gorgeous on her. The jewelry and shoes are perfectly chosen to support the dress and help set it off. Hair and makeup are flawless. We don’t know if this dress would really work on another wearer, because if we’re being bluntly honest, the design still doesn’t set us on fire, but even we have to admit when someone gets the styling and the selection exactly right for themselves.
