White suits have been super-trendy this year among ladystars. In fact, it feels like the ladytux trend has receded as the white suit trend has gained strength. Empire of Light star Olivia Colman is the latest to sport the trend and we think she looks smashing in it. But of course we have quibbles. We can only be as God made us, darlings: judgmental and opinionated.

There’s also been a trend for elephant leg pants, which is great for her, because she always loved coverage and comfort over all other considerations. The crystal embellishment is gorgeous and we love the coordinating bag and the cutely fierce earrings. We just wish she’d worn the jacket closed, as it was meant to be worn. We also think that plain white top just isn’t doing it for the look, but it would matter a lot less with the jacket buttoned. Hair and makeup look fantastic. Not everyone can pull off that swept-off-the-face short cut and make it look chic, but it suits her incredibly well.
