Avatar: The Way of Water had it’s long-awaited debut (to some fairly good early reactions) and the stars of the film came out to dazzle on the London premiere red carpet.

It starts off so interesting and disappoints more and more as the eye travels down. In this case, we’re not offended or annoyed by the sheer skirt so much as we think it looks so flimsy and half-considered, like it was merely tacked onto the bodice. We do think the combination of black sheer hose and sheer skirt is a good one and we’d like to see it more often. Her makeup is pretty but she could’ve used a bolder lip.

It’s extremely ’80s prom, but she’s young enough to pull it off in a way that feels a little fresh. She looks really cute.

You’d think he was there to support her movie opening instead of the other way around, but we kind of love her for the flex. We can tell all the pieces of his ensemble are very fine and they’re also pretty dull.

Perfection. We don’t love the witchy toe, but she wears the style so often we’re inclined to think there’s a reason she needs the room.

This is absolutely gorgeous. The color looks amazing on her and the braids look really fresh with it.

Sigh. If we can begrudgingly accept that George Clooney wears the same tuxedo for years at a time, we suppose we must give Kate Winslet the same consideration when she pulls the same frock out of her closet, time and again. She’s got one style in which she feels comfortable, it would seem. We think she’s mistaken if she’s convinced herself that this is the only style she can pull off, but we’re used to her not listening to us. Whatever. Enjoy your 4,000th midnight blue body-con gown, girl.
