Jodie Turner-Smith gets Joker-fied and we are upset about it.
From the neck down, we’re looking at a sleek, dramatic ensemble that has one problematic element: the waistband. If you look at the runway shot below, the ensemble tends to look a lot better without the patch of skin at the belly. Putting aside our dislike of cutouts, it just doesn’t seem like the right element for the style of garment. It’s distracting and not particularly flattering to her just by virtue of where it hits on her body. But it pains us to have to say the following: we could have learned to love this ensemble if she hadn’t gone full Joker with the makeup brush. We love a gal who can handle a lot of slap and likes to indulge in some heavy face-painting, but this literally looks clownish to us. It’s not the hair color or the eyeshadow that bugs so much as the insanely heavy blush and contouring. It makes her face look like a mask.
