Alright ladies, get in formation. And by that we mean line up on the Elle Women in Hollywood red carpet and let us get a good look at what you’re wearing. We gave the spotlight treatment to a few of the honorees and attendees, but in this very busy red carpet week (you won’t hear us complaining), we’re afraid we’re going to have to round all the rest of them up and do some quick, driveby judgments. We’re sure all of these women are disappointed to hear that.

Bella Heathcote in Ralph Lauren Collection

Super-cute look, actually! Love the combination of textiles and the fun shape of the skirt. She seems to really love her bag and we don’t blame her.

Charlize Theron in Alaïa

You almost had us with the top half, even if the jacket does feel like a somewhat haphazard addition, but we’re sorry, everything below the knees absolutely kills the look.

Demi Singleton in Miu Miu

This is kind of cute for a young wearer, even if it is a little overdesigned. We think we’d like it more if it wasn’t in this currently trendy green, which has a bathroomy sort of vibe to it.

We think this is probably as easy for her to wear as a caftan would be for anyone else. It’s just okay. Obviously, she can work the shape, but the textile and color are kind of unattractive.

Issa Rae in Mônot

The dress is a high-impact minimalism and the hair is doing all of the work to make it head-turning. She looks great. Love the mani.

Jameela Jamil in Christian Siriano

Hahahahaha. Of course she would. Of course he would. It’s Campy Chic and we kind of love it. Not sure about the shoes, though.

Jurnee Smollett in Ralph Lauren Collection

This is surprisingly conventional for her. It’s fine, but the fit in the bust looks painful.

Keke Palmer

We’re all for roomy comfort, but the proportions are kind of horrible here. We think a silhouette like this can work, but not rendered in a metallic leather like a truncated trench coat.

Kerry Washington

The dress is kind of fabulous but we don’t think it works with the shirt at all.

Kristen Bell in Peter Do

The fit seems to be a weensy bit off in the midsection, but we really like this design and color for her.

Maude Apatow

The dress is really cute and we can understand why any wearer would want to do something to give it some modernity or edge, but the gloves don’t work with it.

Mindy Kaling in Ralph Lauren Collection

Simple, understated, and flattering. We think it might have been a bit more photogenic in a deep color.

Mj Rodriguez in Iris Van Herpen

Miss Rodriguez is SERVING. We almost feel like this is too much dress for the event, but she wants to get her Herpen on, who are we to suggest she shouldn’t? Bring that drama, girl.

Naomi Watts in Dior Couture

It’s giving Hillary. Nothing wrong with a classic white pantsuit, but it’s hard for any blonde white woman to wear one and escape the comparison. Still, it’s a great suit and we love the earrings.

Olivia Wilde in Mônot

We realize it’s deliberate if not the entire point of the design, but the top of this gown just does not work proportionally with the bottom of it.

Saniyya Sidney in Rani Zakhem Couture

Simple, sassy and cute.

Sigourney Weaver

We like the suit and the shoes, but we don’t like the blouse at all. Or the bag, for that matter.

Thuso Mbedu in Ong-Oaj Pairam

Love every single bit of this.

Tiffany Haddish in A.L.C.

It’s a simple design but it really works. It’s not easy to show up with all that pleating looking perfect.

Wanda Sykes

We maybe might have a few quibbles about everything being the same sparkly blue, but she still looks pretty great in this.
