Before we dive deeper into the Venice Film Festival red carpet and all the gownery on display, we thought we’d take a moment and give the spotlight to one Miss Heidi Klum, the Queen of Day Looks. No, really. She may have a fairly tacky red carpet history, but The Kluminator has always been really good at sashaying in the sun looking super cute. Case in point:

We tend to think all-white ensembles are a little precious. We also tend to think this dress is too twee for words and we wouldn’t have predicted it or suggested it for the Heidster, but the styling tends to save it. The bag, sandals and shades all give it a little bit of modernity and attitude. We hate the shape of that skirt the longer we look at it, but she’s a pro who knows how to work a garment, so it doesn’t really matter. She looks great. Even better  – and more to the point – she looks extremely photogenic. You kinda can’t get a bad picture of an outfit like this unless you throw spaghetti sauce at it or something.
