Chappell Roan came to the Vivienne Westwood show in Paris in a look that so embodied the House aesthetic that we feel Vivienne smiling down from fashion heaven at the sight. But be prepared, there’s a very Vivienne reveal at the end.
We remind you that when Vivienne Westwood received her Order of the British Empire hono(u)r from the Queen in 1992, the punk icon twirled her skirt for photographers at Buckingham Palace and revealed her knickerless state. The dress looks great on her from the front and we find the back to be a (literally) cheeky homage to the House Mother herself. It’s cute and it’s on the right person.
