If we were to write a history of his red carpet career, we’d note that this period would be when Chris Evans was officially going through his “doing the bare minimum” phase.
He knows he can get away with it — and y’know? We are not prepared to argue with him on that. Of course he looks great. It’s actually difficult for him to not look great. We also won’t claim that he made no effort here. He’s groomed, moisturized and styled in an ensemble that can be fairly unforgiving if not downright impossible (for most) to pull off. It’s not like this is the kind of getup he’d be wearing if he was lounging around at home. Having said all that, it’s still kind of terrible and haphazard, from a style perspective. It’s not the overall style concept that bothers us. He’s actually great when he leans into the gold chain/tank top thing he’s got going on. But none of these items look all that great. There are better versions of everything he’s got on, from his shades to his shoes. It’s fine. We’re not mad at it. He looks hot. It’s just one of the least stylish red carpet looks he’s ever sported.
