Now that the first episode of the Ms. Marvel series has dropped, do you agree with our pre-review embargo opinion that the show is super-charming and couldn’t be a more perfect adventure/coming of age story for girls? Of course the creative team behind the show should get a ton of credit, but to our way of thinking, the true MVP of Ms. Marvel is its star, who’s got charm to spare. She also dresses really cute and has a knack for picking out kicks:

This is cute and feels fresh. If nothing else, it’s off the beaten path from the normal teen ingenue style. To our old eyes, the pants look a little too big on her. And if anyone had asked our opinion, we think more of a crew neckline would be better than the mock turtleneck she’s got going on. But we love that she went for comfort, coolness and vibes in her style choices rather than running after trends or trying to out-do some of her cheek-sucking contemporaries. She’s going her own way and it’s great to see.

Did we mention she’s charming?
