When you’re celebrity fashion bloggers, you often find yourself having emotional reactions to things that are a little hard to explain to the civilians. We’re telling you this because we clapped with glee at the sight of Abbott Elementary creator/star Quinta Brunson in this gown:
Is that weird? Rhetorical question. We can’t act like we’ve spent years documenting her style choices, but in the relatively short time she’s been in the national spotlight, we could tell the 4’11” star was trying her best to navigate a style world where the lowest difficulty setting is reserved for women a foot taller than her. The proportions here are just spectacular for her and the fit is almost as good (the bust is probably a bit tight). That color absolutely sings on her and we have to admit that our longstanding “Don’t match your eyeshadow to your dress” advice is no good here. She doesn’t just look like a star here; she looks like what she is: an honoree.
