Because the Disney machine will never stop until it’s sucked every micron of monetizable IP from their assets, here’s Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor, celebrating their return to the Star Wars universe as Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi respectively, alongside new co-star Moses Ingram. Yes, we’re going to watch it. Yes, we’re going to continue to be a little grumpy about it. We are large, we contain multitudes.
We also contain bitchy opinions about their outfits here, as well as a world-class ability to execute a flawless segue.
Our first impulse is to say “Only you, Ewan McGregor, could pull off that highwater/white sock situation,” but is that really true? Is he pulling this off? We would suggest not. We would also suggest that it’s possible for him to make these goofy pants work, but not with that jacket or undershirt and definitely not with those work shoes. He’s still improbably cute in it, though. Can’t take that away.
Her styling is FABULOUS here. LOVE the hair, jewelry and boots. We’re so-so on the lace blouse and very much no on the super-tricky skirt.
The Darth Vader jacket is WAY too on the nose, Hayden. Also unflattering and unphotogenic.
