It’s the Deadline Television Contenders event! No, we don’t know what that means either but a whole bunch of stars showed up to hit the red carpet, so we’re all for it, whatever it is! Wait. Hold on, we’re receiving new information in our earpieces. We are informed by our producers that this is “a series of events featuring the most acclaimed shows on television today.” Oh! A series of events! Okay, then. We don’t know what the dress code may be for a series of events, but we’ll do our best, darlings.

This is fantastic; eye-catching and fun. Love the loafers.
Britt Lower

The makeup is flawless but we don’t love the hair bow or pretty much everything happening below the waist.
Courtney Cox and Mira Sorvino

They both look uncomplicatedly great. The benefit to being around for a while is learning when to keep things simple.
Daniel Dae Kim

Adorable. We hope skinny pants never go out of style for thick-thigh’d men.
Faith Hill

We like both the top and the jeans. We just don’t think they should be worn at the same time.
Jared Leto in Gucci

Boy, he really took all our recent criticism to heart, didn’t he? This is the most tone-down he’s looked in a decade.
Jerrie Johnson

For all the weirdness of that design, it fails to have much impact because of the washed-out color story. Love the sandals, though.
Jin Ha

Love this.
Kaitlyn Dever

It’s really simple, but we think it works for her. We might have bumped up the jewelry a little.
Lily James in Versace

Sexy Business Lady really works for her.
Melanie Lynskey

We LUV HUH, but we think we’d have liked this look if it was more of a caftan. That half-defined waist and those ruffled sleeve cuffs don’t work. Love the sandals, though.
Mindy Kaling
Pin
We don’t know how else to say this, but the combination of the small scale print with the white collar and white pockets makes it look like some sort of work clothes; shades of a housekeeping, hair salon, or home health care uniform.
Murray Bartlett
Pin
Resting on pretty, we’d say. He wears those boots on red carpets way too often.
Octavia Spencer
Pin
Profesh and low-key. It works.
Quinta Brunson
Pin
It’s cute. We just wish the collar didn’t sit so high. She might’ve been better off undoing a button.
Selena Gomez in Mango
Pin
It’s a cute classic, but we don’t think the cutouts work with it.
Sydney Sweeney in Rokh
Pin
We love everything but the color.
Tiffany Haddish in Thom Browne
Pin
It’s got a little bit of an Elphaba feel to it and – Who knew? – that really works for her.
Viola Davis
Pin
The suit is okay, but the blouse and the shoes do nothing for it.
Winona Ryder
Pin
It’s giving Goth Mom and we don’t actually mind it.
