Darlings, there’s been so much red carpet content during this insanely compressed awards season that we almost forgot about the humble Instagram Serve. It’s what got us (and a whole lot of stars and stylists) through covid and we always said it wasn’t likely to ever fully go away. Here’s Miss Elle to remind us, by showing off a really cute press day look for The Girl From Plainview.

We’d bet a donut that this color wouldn’t look all that great on her outside or in a red carpet situation, but here, it looks softly pretty. We’d also bet this wouldn’t travel all that well and it might not even look that great on television. It was really well chosen for a press day. The hair and makeup are pretty and we love the little touches of hardness with the chain and the unexpected red shoe. A great little look that feels like a breath of fresh air in the middle of all of this tense awards style.
