Style File: Jennifer Lopez Promotes “Marry Me” in Dior Couture, Del Core, Norma Kamali and Grace Ling

Posted on February 07, 2022

Your girl can’t stop, won’t stop. When it comes to promoting herself and her latest project, absolutely no one touches J Lo’s commitment. She’s been hitting the streets in several outfits a day, making the talk show rounds and posing to beat the band. The very least we could do is pay her the attention such efforts beg for. And also to judge her, of course.

One thing Jennifer Lopez might not get enough credit for is her fairly spectacular taste in outerwear. It’s the New Yorker in her. She knows the value of a killer coat. Love this look (including the very conservative, borderline twee styling). The shoes are pretty eye-catching, but that’s a lot of toe cleavage for February in the city.

While we’re not at all convinced by that print or the white pumps with it, we reiterate that the lady knows a good coat when she sees one. The Queen Elizabeth-style beg doesn’t really work with the rest of the outfit and we can’t say we love the idea of matching it to the coat instead of the shoes (although we’re not sticklers for supposed fashion rules, most of which are outdated).

It’s a got a simple sexiness about it that should be easy for her, but we’re not loving how flimsy it looks on camera and we don’t think those ten-pounders she’s wearing on her feet are helping. She needed a more delicate sandal and a pretty necklace to make this work.

Ma’am, no. No, ma’am. We would be the last two queens to suggest you stop showing the results of all your hard work. Serve that body until they make it illegal, girl. But this outfit looks completely ridiculous. The design of that skirt is like a textbook illustration of the concept of “unresolved” in fashion. This one needed a little more time on the dress form before being released into the world.

He continues to hide the hot in weirdly oversized suits and grandpa shoes.
