The cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel celebrated the fourth season premiere in an unexpected way:

What a cute idea. We don’t know why it’s taken the PR world so long, but these are the kind of events we kept hoping we’d see more of at a time when red carpets aren’t as viable as they once were because of Covid. Do things outside! Hold the entire Oscar ceremony at the Hollywood Bowl and stage the Met Gala in Central Park! Must we figure everything out for you people?

Anyway, we’re here to talk about more shallow things, like Miss Rachel’s sunshiney ensemble.

It’s a gorgeous coat. If this was a more typical sort of red carpet event, we might have bemoaned the gloves and the boots as tone-on-tone gone wrong, but as a skating outfit in a low-light setting, it all makes a little more sense. Still, we think we might have recommended a contrasting outfit underneath the coat. And we’re sorry, but those gloves look a little too close to something you’d wear to clean something you’d rather not touch.
