We regret to announce that we’ve seen the same element three times in one week on three different wearers featuring two different design houses, making it officially a TREND.
Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and now Salma Hayek have all worn gowns that had colorful tops and fairly overwhelming black skirts this week. It’s now a thing. Salma’s isn’t as close in style as the other two, which are both from Miu Miu, but we still can’t say we like the element any more in this instance. Still, we feel a little torn. She’s been on a winning streak while promoting House of Gucci in Gucci – which is good, because she’s almost literally Lady Gucci. The blue velvet looks gorgeous on her, but that trim is a little cheesy and craftsy, like it was bought by the yard and applied with a glue gun. But maybe we’re too focused on the nitpicky stuff.
