This is… not… working for us…? We don’t usually sound so wishy-washy about this sort of thing, but we can’t quite pin this one down.
It feels like there are too many design decisions and they don’t all work well together; those enormous truncated sleeves, the waist seam, the over-dress, the tricky hem, the heavy trim, the silver beading. It’s a LOT. And yet for all that, the design feels very underwhelming. We suppose that’s why we’re so confused by it. Underwhelming and overdesigned is a head-scratcher of a combination.
In other news, we don’t think that color favors her.
