Of all the post-2020 fashion trend forecasts we’ve read, we don’t think one of them predicted the return of huge shoulders. Everyone was so sure that it would be nothing but drawstring pants and bralessness as far as the eye could see, but in the celebrity realm at least, it’s been party dresses and Dynasty silhouettes all summer long. Case in point: Miss Margot, who looks like she’s stopping for cocktails at the club as soon as she’s finished with this whole talk show thing she’s supposed to do.

She’s got a facility for retro styles (not to mention that she’s operating on the lowest fashion difficulty setting), so this looks effortless in that “strolling through a parking lot” sort of way. It looks great when she’s sitting down on set because it frames her face and it shows off her legs, which is the best, easiest, most comfortable way for a ladystar to serve a little hotness on a talk show. We see so many fussy crop tops and open backs on talk show sets, when it seems to us a dress like this – coverage up top, a little leg action below – is the best option for a lot of ladystars.
