Sometimes, you’ve just gotta let someone be who they were meant to be. Sometimes, shutting up is better than giving your opinion. And sometimes, stereotypes can be true. What we’re trying to say here is that we’re trying not to say too much here. We could quibble and fuss and wonder about the potential pretension of wearing sunglasses on the red carpet, but to deploy a cliche at a moment when we’re desperately working not to, at the end of the day, you’ve just gotta shut up and let a drop-dead chic French movie star with a coolness that emanates from her very DNA have the spotlight and the moment.
