This was such a fun bit of stagewear that we felt we had to give it a little huzzah. If we’re being perfectly honest, we’d probably have SAVAGED this look if she wore it on a red carpet:

It’s neither subtle nor fresh. If anything, it embodies the opposite qualities from a style standpoint: tacky and stale. But it’s clearly meant to be seen in context and that context is the stage. More specifically:
It’s fun, loud, sexy and focus-pulling, exactly the way you’d expect a lead character’s costume to be in a big musical number. We’re not a hundred percent on the white opera gloves, but we love the hair, makeup and earrings.
