When we’re attempting to be cheery, half-glass-full types, we look at the current return-to-normalcy period as a series of revelations and discoveries; a checklist of things returning that we weren’t even aware we’d missed, each one saying in its own way that our time in the desert is coming to an end.
In other words, we clapped with gay glee at the sight of Sarah Paulson in a big ol’ dress.

Oh, how we missed her space-taking fashion. She’s got a real knack for choosing these oversized or voluminous dresses that manage to distract you from their size and shape with some sort of dazzling or stark design element. The sequin work here is really eye-catching. We’re surprised to admit that we like the size and shape of the sleeves, but we wish they had some sort of cuff. The shoes are big and loud enough to match the dress without pulling focus from it or being overwhelmed by it. We’re so glad the era of teeny-tiny nearly invisible sandals is over. Ladystars were wearing those damn things in New York in February just a few years back; that’s how ubiquitous they became.
Anyway, welcome back Miss Sarah. You look great.
