Miss Kate’s got a little Valentino action happening at home this week, although you wouldn’t think these two outfits were coming from the same design house, given the broad differences in style.

Y’know? You had us until we got to the shoes. Not just because we don’t like the design, but because they’re too focus-pulling when everything above it is the same neutral color. We actually really like the outfit (comfy’s still in) but we don’t think a fancy sweatsuit like this really calls for showy heels, no matter how pricey it is.

We can’t help thinking the lighting is so poor because the outfit just wasn’t working for her. From what we can see, it does kinda look like she’s struggling with it – which is not a mark against her, because the runway shot below makes it pretty clear that it’s just a goofy design all around. We don’t think tucking in the shirt helped, though.
