We’re a little torn on this frock. The style is retro-twee, but the textile is a faded denim and the embellishments owe more to jeans and jean jackets than they do to sugary-sweet dress with an eyelet lace scalloped collar. We love a good hard/soft juxtaposition, but we’re not sure these elements marry all that well. Having said that, it suits her really well and if you scroll through the Insta post, it seems pretty obvious that it’s a setting-specific sort of dress. It works in some shots but not others.
