This week’s Leftovers post is kind of strange, when you consider how little celebrity style content we posted in the last five days. None of these looks were passed over for not being up to our standards for spotlighting. In fact, most of them are pretty great and those that aren’t are at least pretty interesting. The problem is that none of these folks posted enough shots. LET THAT BE A LESSON TO YOU, CELEBS AND STYLISTS. We need multiple shots and angles in order to fully judge. We will, nevertheless, be judging all of these. Let’s go, judgey types!
Ciara Bravo in The Vampire’s Wife
A dress in a style that’s totally not our bag but nonetheless looks fantastic on her. Can’t say the invisible shoe would’ve been our rec.
Cynthia Erivo in Greta Constantine
Taking a well-deserved rest after months of high-octane, high-fashion promotional work – and still serving a lewk.
Eiza González in Patou
Sure, we can’t sign off on the idea of electric blue socks with patent leather sandals. And no, we have not suddenly gone against years of opinionating to to embrace incongruous arm puffs. But dammit, this fun and photogenic and totally weird in a way we think a lot of style is going to be for a good while. It’s weird and cute and that combination feels like the next trend.
Halle Berry in Collini Milano
We don’t know what Miss Halle’s doing here, but we’re glad she’s looking fabulous while doing it.
Krys Marshall in Gucci
We keep hearing good things about her Apple TV+ series For All Mankind. Should we catch it, kittens? In other news, this is a fabulous dress but the sandals have an odd shape to them.
Maya Rudolph
Lorenzo said “This is the first look of hers that I love!” Tom winced in reply. You make the call.
Priyanka Chopra in Roland Mouret
Getting in on that Meghan action, we see. Then again, anyone who sits down with Oprah in a setting like this is going to wind up drawing comparisons, we guess. We’re glad she didn’t wear a black dress. The jumpsuit and sandals look pretty great from here. That’s a lovely color on her.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Proenza Schouler
A simple, but nonetheless fantastic-on-her dress and … what is it with the weird footwear this week? Is it an Instagram thing?
Selma Blair in Ralph & Russo
No footwear needed for this level of fabulous.
Storm Reid in Versace
From what we can see, it all looks pretty cute.
Taraji P. Henson in Etro
Love the way the hair color and the print coordinated and complement each other. Not loving the … wait for it … FOOTWEAR CHOICE! Although these aren’t weird, just the wrong color.
Uzo Aduba in Michael Kors Collection
Miss Lady has been crushing it of late. We might have rec’d a shoe with a bit more pop to it, but the dress is really pretty.
Zoey Deutch in Gucci
Gotta give a gal credit for doing something unexpected. The scrolldown really makes the look, although we suppose it has too much of a Christmassy undertone to it. But we did give a little surprised gasp when we saw the ensemble in toto and anything that can make these two hardened hearts skip a beat is worth a little praise. It’s bold and different.
