It has recently come to our attention that Miss Lily is that most rare of celebrity specimens: the one who can make the super-twee prairie dresses really work in a way no one else can. We don’t know what magic she possesses, but we think it has something to do with her somewhat minimalist approach to styling. You really can’t get too cute with the hair, jewelry or shoes when you’re sporting one of these prairie birthday party frocks, it would seem. Having shown an affinity for making the designs of The Vampire’s Wife sing, she now turns her efforts toward the similarly twee Batsheva:

It’s cute. It doesn’t have the same sense of drama she brings to those TVW dresses, but we like the shape and the color. We’re not super-crazy about the over-sized polka dots. Somehow they seem more juvenile than a floral print. Love the shoes, though. They’re a bit plain, but that was the right way to go.
