When we featured Miss Lucy’s rather fun parade of hosting looks for New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, we didn’t realize your girl also packed herself a press look for the occasion, which she served up photo call-style on Instagram. Like her night looks, her day look had a bold, bright, almost fashion-doll level of coordination with a little bit of sexy added to the mix.

She looks like a business executive character on a late ’80s/ early ’90s night time soap. That is, in case there’s any confusion, very much a compliment. Her looks lend themselves to this kind of boldness and simplicity. She’s really good wearing basic styles with minor twists or embellishments rather than going the fussy route. And if you’d asked us any time before today, “T Lo, what do you think of purple eyeshadow with a purple suit?” We’d have likely sucked in our breath and said “Oooooh, dicey. Wouldn’t recommend.” Well, shut our mouths, Lucy Hale. It’s the perfect capper to the look, along with those gorgeous little hoops.
